Common zazen postures: sitting on floor or chairs, kneeling on benches or cushions, or lying down
Sitting at Desert Mirror
Please be seated and settled in the zendo at least 5 minutes before the posted starting time for zazen. We have plenty of cushions, chairs and seiza (kneeling) benches, so you don’t need to bring anything unless you have very special sitting needs.
Occasional teacher visits, half-day retreats, and other special events (such as movie nights, potlucks, Sangha Day work practice, etc.) are scheduled about once a month and promoted via our email list.
